The Founders
Before founding one of Denver's top interior design firms, Duet Design Group, Miranda and Devon were both making names for themselves in the Denver design community. Miranda owned her own design company and had been recognized by a number of builder's associations with awards for exceptional interior design. Meanwhile, Devon, a LEED Green associate and professional member of ASID, was working with a local architectural design firm.
The two crossed paths in 2011 in the carriage house behind Devon's childhood home. The rest is history. With a handful of personal connections and a passion for design, the duo teamed up and set out to create an interior design company that fulfilled the needs and wants of their clients, while simultaneously surpassing their expectations at every turn. Today, Devon and Miranda have a combined 30+ years of design experience and lead the dedicated, passionate and talented team of Duet. Their work has been recognized and featured in Luxe Magazine, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, Architectural Digest, Reign Magazine, 5280 Home and Denver Life Magazine, among others.

Like most Colorado transplants, this mother of two left California twelve years ago and never looked back. While admitting to missing the sand, her waterskis and In and Out Burger, Miranda couldn't think of a soccer field she'd rather be on than the ones in and around Denver. Winning the height battle by a long shot in our office, and by far the most experienced designer, Miranda is the go-to gal in our office for fashion inspiration and, most importantly, a complete recap of what happened that week on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

Mornings at Duet always begin with a “Devon story”, whether it be about her two boys, her family or an article she read in a business journal. Armed with a contagious sense of energy, passion and a Little Black Book that is anything but little (Devon knows EVERYONE in Denver considering she is a 4th generation Colorado native), this mother of two keeps us on our toes. She found her love for design in the art studios of the University of Colorado where she earned a BFA, and then continued to learn more about design after receiving a secondary degree for Interior Design from The Art Institute of Colorado. Devon will admit to dreaming of one day returning to school.... business school, that is.

Kate's claim to fame that she can out-drive most guys on the golf course is a definite plus for our offices' bragging rights. The lone "Cornhusker' of the group...yes, Kate hails from the beautiful state of Nebraska, this even-tempered and detail-oriented design associate worked for a high-end residential interior design firm in Aspen before heading down the mountain to Denver. She admits to being obsessed with wallcoverings, the color black and Kelly Wearstler. She craves mac & cheese, loves to Zumba and draws her inspiration from the pages of Vogue magazine.

John joins us as the first (human) male team member at Duet! He hails from New England with a business marketing degree from the University of Vermont and over 10 years in marketing experience. With John’s dry humor and ability to feel completely comfortable in an office full of women, he has been a natural addition to the team. When he’s not working you can likely find him backcountry skiing with his wife, son and dog Piko.

When we met Sarah Beth, we knew she would be a natural addition to the Duet team. A recent graduate from CSU, where she studied Interior Design with a minor in Sustainability, Sarah Beth is another team member from the South. She might be from Alabama, but she is a natural here in Colorado, spending her free time on a patio during happy hour, skiing, camping or getting down in the yogi lotus position. If she's not in Colorado, there's a safe bet she'll be soaking up the sun in her favorite place - Byron Bay, Australia.

Sydney moved to Denver in 2011 from Kansas with her husband to enjoy all Colorado has to offer - from camping and hiking to the best pizza joints they can find. After her daughter was born, she decided to quit her job and pursue her life long career dream - interior design. Sydney has been an easy addition to our team with her bright mind and dry humor. When she's not here living out her dream job, you can find her cheering on her Kansas Jayhawks, lifting heavy things at Crossfit and spending time with her family.

Sasha came to Duet with several years of experience as a buyer in the fashion industry. As a Boulder, CO native, she enjoys all things that can be found outside: hiking, snowboarding, and of course, rooftop happy hours. When she’s not enjoying her home state, she can be found jet setting almost anywhere. We can always count on Sasha to have a smile on her face, a dad joke on hand or be rocking a fabulous pair of shoes.

Sarah is the first smile you see when you visit our office and the cheery voice you hear when you call. She is the scheduler, the gatekeeper, the record keeper and all around office handler. A Colorado native, she recently got her degree at CSU and loves to take advantage of the beautiful state she's from. When she's not manning the office, you can find her enjoying a hike, spending time with her family (she loves her role as 'favorite aunt') or enjoying a happy hour with her friends.

Megan, a true Colorado native, runs and manages the purchasing here at Duet Design Group. Outside of the office, Megan and her family are passionate about soccer. As a former soccer player at the University of Iowa, her three kids are following close behind in her footsteps. When she isn’t at a kids sporting event, Megan spends her free time with friends and family.

Levi Blu Cullen joined our team in 2020 after making the move to Denver from Florida. This smart but oh so stubborn pup is a Blue Brindle Frenchie and has quickly become a favorite around the office. Levi loves any and all food, and will obey any command for the tiniest morsel. When he’s not in the office chewing on something from our design library or presentation tray, Levi enjoys sleeping, bullying and playing with his big brother and sister (both Labradors), napping at Miranda’s feet, and watching whatever is trending on Hulu or Netflix while relaxing on the sofa or back patio. We call him “Little Stinky” for obvious reasons, yet we couldn’t be happier to have him snorting around our office on a regular basis.
